Police are appealing for information and witnesses to come forward following a hit and run in Fulham.

Officers were called to Fulham Palace Road, SW6 at 2.24am on Sunday 1 June, following reports of a serious road traffic collision.

Police attended the scene along with London Ambulance Service and found a male pedestrian suffering serious head injuries following a collision with a car.

The man - aged in his thirties - was treated at the scene by paramedics but died a short while later.

The small black car involved did not stop at the scene. No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries are continuing.

Local road closures are in effect.
