A bus driver forced to make a quick stop to spend a penny was shocked to find his vehicle had gone when he returned.

He had parked his 266 bus in Hammersmith Grove at around 12.30am on the 22nd Januarywhilst he went to the toilet in the NCP car park. He left the engine running but had shut the doors and at that point no one was on the bus. When he had finished he turned and saw the suspect drive the bus off.

The bus drove off South along Hammersmith Grove, into Beadon Rd and then he lost sight. Shortly after this call another came out to the police reporting that a double Decker bus had driven into two parked cars in King Street and a male driver had ran off.

The suspect is a white male aged 20 - 30 years wearing a multi coloured stripy top
