Police have made three arrests following the stabbing of a 14 year-old schoolboy in Hammersmith Bus Station on the afternoon of Monday May 16.

Meanwhile the victim, who is reportedly a pupil at Richmond Park Academy, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

The Police's latest statement says: " Three people in their mid-teens have been arrested in connection with the investigation. They remain in custody pending further enquiries."

The attack took place in front of horrified crowds in the bus station outside Hammersmith Broadway.

Several police cars attended and an air ambulance landed on the King Street NCP car park roof with a large area around the scene ordoned off.

The police's initial statement about the attack said:
" Police were alerted by the ambulance service at approximately 3.50pm on Monday 16 May re a stabbing at Hammersmith Broadway W6.

" The London Air Ambulance attended.

" A teenage boy was taken by land ambulance to a central London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

" It is understood he is 15 years old."

This attack in broad daylight among crowds of people happened on the day five teenage boys were found guilty of killing Fulham schoolboy Sofyen Belalmouadden.

Sofyen was stabbed to death in Victoria Station in the afternoon of March 25 last year.
