Police are appealing to two men who chased a motorcyclist who failed to stop after hitting a pedestrian in Hammersmith to come forward.

The 23 year-old pedestrian is still in hospital over a month after he was hit by the bike, which was reported stolen.

Officers were called at around 6.10pm on Wednesday, January 30 to the eastbound lane of West Cromwell Road following reports of a motorcycle in collision with a pedestrian.

It is believed that the rider had passed through a red light on North End Road.

The rider of the blue Yamaha FZ6 Fazer, registration LF54 FFK, failed to stop at the scene.

The motorcycle, which had been reported stolen from Watford, Hertfordshire, was subsequently abandoned by Edith Villas further down West Cromwell Road and the rider made off on foot into the Clifford House Estate.

Officers are keen to speak with two men who were seen to chase the rider.

The collision is being investigated by Hammersmith and Fulham police. Anyone with information call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting ref 6002245/13.
