First Apartments Go On Sale at Sovereign Court
Including 15th floor penthouse priced just under £5 million
And among the first batch of seven apartments - four priced over one million pounds - is a three bedroom, 15th floor penthouse promising spectacular views over West London and priced just under £5 million ... £4,900,950 to be exact.
Plans by developer St George for the development, which will create 418 new homes, plus offices, shops and restaurants were approved by Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s planning committee on March 12.
Work has now begun on the site as preparations are made to demolish the car park and office block, which has been empty for the past five years, to create the new homes, as well as 753 car parking spaces and 460 cycle spaces.
An information centre has also opened at the development on Beadon Road. It is open daily from 10am till 6pm, with late opening on Thursdays until 8pm.
St George, part of the giant Berkeley Group, is also behind three other major developments in the borough, Fulham Reach on Hammersmith Embankment and Imperial Wharf and its neighbouring site Chelsea Creek in Fulham.
The developer says Sovereign Court, which it describes as "ideally located for central connections", being just 150 metres from both Hammersmith's tube stations, will offer 52 studio apartments, 106 one-bedroom flats, 216 two-bedroom apartments and 44 three-bedroom apartments. 10% of the apartments will be wheelchair accessible.
