Hammersmith restaurant Lola & Simon is donating all its trading profits on Sunday February 27 to the people who are suffering from the earthquake of Christchurch in New Zealand via the Salvation Army.
In a message to customers, the restaurant's owners Kirstin, who is from New Zealand, and Simon who is Argentinian, say: " We are very moved for all those in Christchurch that are suffering as a consequence of the earthquake.
" As most of you have seen on TV, the city is pretty much destroyed. Any buildings still standing will likely be demolished, whether as a result of continuing aftershocks or because they are structurally unsound.
" We wish the best for the people in Christchurch. But more than wishes, we can also offer support. We are far away to give physical support but we can help people rebuild the physical comforts of life.
" So come to the restaurant this Sunday with your families and friends and celebrate your wonderful, fortunate life, and help others rebuild theirs.
" We look forward to seeing you. If you cant make it on Sunday, you can donate at the Salvation Army website.
" For latest news, New Zealand's global network Kea is keeping up to date on its website."
