|Godolphin and Latymer School Holds Christmas Bazaar|
Supporting four charities plus Addison Primary School
Hammersmith’s Godolphin and Latymer Girls’ School is opening its doors to the local community and families from local schools for its Christmas Bazaar on Saturday December 6.
This ever-popular event, which has been running since 1976, sees gifts, food and decorations on offer, along with a Santa’s grotto, a silent auction and raffle prizes.
Last year alone, the event raised an amazing £38,500 for its four nominated charities. Each year Godolphin supports a local primary school and last year was pleased to support Flora Gardens Primary School.
The bazaar will take place on Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Entry is £1.
As part of Godolphin and Latymer’s outreach programme, this year’s chosen charities are Place2Be, Home-Start, Camfed and War Child. All proceeds raised from the day will go towards supporting these worthwhile causes, in addition to the school’s bursary fund and local state school, Addison Primary.
This summer, Godolphin and Latymer demolished its old gym to make way for a new sports and fitness centre, which will be opened up to an exciting and varied sports programme for a number of local primary schools free of charge.
Currently, Godolphin and Latymer hosts three annual netball tournaments and a rounders tournament with up to seven local state primary schools taking part, including Lena Gardens, Brackenbury, Good Shepherd, St Mary’s and Sir John Lillie Primary School. In addition, their PE staff run weekly sessions at Lena Gardens and Brackenbury and the school opens up its facilities to host sports days.
