Try a range of sports and compete for medals at Linford Christie Sports Centre
A sports day offering disabled people the chance to try out a range of different activities is taking place this Friday, August 15.
The Linford Christie Sports Centre, at Wormwood Scrubs, is hosting the day-long event, which features opportunities for disabled people over the age of 11 to try out a variety of sessions in things like goalball, archery, dance and Boccia.
Once the morning sessions are complete, those taking part will be invited to sign up to some track races in the afternoon – competing to win sports day medals.
The event has been organised by Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s sports development team in partnership with Let Me Play and local organisation Action on Disability.
It takes place on Friday, August 15, at the Linford Christie Sports Centre, with registration from 10.30am. Closing presentations will commence at 2.45pm once all of the activities have finished.
