Save Our Hospitals, together with 38 Degrees are inviting the local community to join a public meeting at Charing Cross Hospital from 7.30pm till 9.30pm on Wednesday October 7 to learn more about

At the meeting, say Save Our Hospitals, the public can learn more about how the NHS is being sold off to private companies who will seek profit over health, and how we can stop this.

Speakers are:

Dr Youssef El-Gingihy, a GP in East London and author of newly published book, How to Dismantle the NHS in 10 Easy Steps (copies on sale at the meeting). Youssef will look at how privatisation is already threatening the very existence of the NHS.

Anne Drinkell, Secretary of Save Our Hospitals and a community nurse. Anne will talk about how privatisation is damaging our local services - in hospitals and other health services.

Mark Dearn, Campaigns Officer, War on Want. War on Want has taken a key role in opposing TTIP - the trade agreement between the EU and the USA which will allow multinationals to buy up health services.

Save Our Hospitals is a resident-led campaign group formed in July 2012 to fight the proposed closure of A&Es in Hammersmith, Charing Cross, Ealing and Central Middlesex Hospitals.

Charing Cross Sport Club is in the grounds of the hospital, with the entrance on Aspenlea Road. Entry is free, wheelchair access is available and refreshments provided.

You can register free for this event here and find out more at Save Our Hospitals blog.
