Hammersmith's eighth annual Summer Festival continues this week with Citizen Squad, the last in a three week season of lunchtime Theatre in the Square productions.

Citizen Squid, which comes to Lyric Square today, Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday June 24 from noon till 3pm is presented by the Puppets with Guts company, who worked on the extraordinary War Horse puppets, and stars a squid named Barbara!

The action switches to SW19 unfolds next week with the HammersmithLondon Big Screen broadcasting all the action from the Wimbledon Tennis Championships from Monday, June 29 to Sunday July 12.

Then join the audience on Friday, July 3 as HammersmithLondon beams Mozartís Don Giovanni live from the Royal Opera House into Lyric Square.




Picnic in the Square is also back by popular demand when local people will be invited to unwind during their lunchtimes, so sit back and soak up the sun on rolled out turf and or enjoy an outdoor snack at 20 foot long picnic from 13-15 July and 20- 22 July, between noon and 3pm.

Throughout the festival you can also get active and learn about the local area by taking part in Free Guided Walks on Saturday, July 4 and Saturday, August 1.

On July 4 celebrate the return of the Great Chiswick River Swim and on August 1 walkers can uncover the history of Olympia. Walks start at 11am.
