Lyric Square

Today's report about awards shortlisting for Lyric Square mentions a 'grove' of trees to help provide shade. Well, they might have done so if they'd been on the south side of the square. As it is, they're on the north side and will shade only the cars along Beadon Road. A few more trees on the south side please! Also, the fountain overflows its designated area and throws spray around when it's windy - which it often is in Lyric Square

Aside from the fact that it seemed to be a permanent building site the stalls offered a more interesting aspect than what appears to be a fairly bland open space. It will be interesting to see how it wears.

....and [unless they've recently been adjusted] the high-intensity lamps in the lighting standards project their beams directly into the eyes of southbound drivers in Hammersmith Grove.  Does anyone else wonder whether we could revert to those untidy old market stalls, even with a few omitted to allow access to the new Lyric entrance?
