Tara is the name of the Club and Camogie is the name of the Sport. Camogie is the ladies equivalent of the mens game Hurling. Its a little bit like hockey expect you can raise the ball from the ground, hit it in the air, catch it etc. There are about 6 camogie clubs in London. Our Club Tara have 2 teams at different grades; Junior and Senior.Junior grade is beginners say and Senior would be more experienced/better players. Players ages currently range from 14 years to 40'ish.Our players/members are mainly first/second generation Irish but we have a fair few non-irish girls that played hockey say and wanted to play a team stick sport. All welcome.
