Dog poo
After some great discussions Hammersmith seems to be dying a death again!...so I've stolen an 'interesting' topic from another forum to discuss......we've had cyclists on pavements, now how about dog poo on pavements?I rarely see dogs in our area but the school run is a 'dodge the poo' run! I think some of it may be foxes, but much of it appears too large to be foxes. I'm forever shouting 'Watch the poo!' & my youngest (2) now points & shouts 'poo! poo!' from the buggy! Difficult to explain when potty training, that it is unacceptable for children to poo the streets but OK for dogs.My 8 year old was unlucky enough to tread in some right outside school a couple of weeks ago & I spent a good half hour trying to scrape the stuff out of the grooves on the bottom of his shoes with twigs & wipes (not totally successfully so he had to change into his plimsoles for the day). YUK!!!But we can't blame the dogs, only the owners. I have asked owners to clear up their dog poo when the dog has pooed right in front of me & they either ignore me or are offensive (or should I say even more offensive?). Could dogs wear a doggy nappy when they're out? Could it be made law that they must in all public places? It is about time this disgusting health hazard is no longer tolerated. What can be done?
