A Christmas Fantasia December 17th!  Black Lion Lane

St Peter's Singers, Hammersmith's leading Chamber Choir, are putting on a concert this Saturday, Dec 17th at St Peter's Church (7.00pm for 7.30pm).  It's in aid of that Church's Restoration Fund - they support this independent choir by providing it's rehearsal venue!  One of the soloists ['cellist Phoebe Scott,LRAM] is a long-time-ago pupil of St Peter's School.  For full details, see www.stpeterssingers.org uk.  Come and have Fun, Mulled Wine - and support a good cause at the same time!

......and, finally, to let everyone know that the concert raised £400 for the Church Restoration Fund.  St Peter's Singers' next concert will be at St Nicholas' Church Chiswick on March 18th - it will be in aid of the Friends of St Nick's; they're fundraising to raise matching funds for a lottery grant......

Gosh that was quick!  Are you a newspaper critic.....? I was there too and thought it was a good evening!  By the way, is Hadyn the composer who gave his name to the road by the Library on the Askew Rd?  Or is the one for the next gig not him but Haydn - the one who did The Creation?I'm putting St Nicholas Chiswick in my diary now!

We did have a good turnout, thanks.  The church was almost full, with a few in the gallery even!  Thanks to all who showed up and I hope you enjoyed the concert.  Our next appearance is at 6.30 at Turnham Green Tube singing carols in aid of Save the Children Fund.  We're also probably singing carols on Wednesday 21st December in Hammersmith Farmer's Market, Lyric Square. Our next major concert is on Saturday March 18th in St Nicholas Church, Chiswick Mall in aid of the Friends of St Nicholas.  We'll be singing the Durufle Requiem and Hadyn St Nicholas Mass.  Hope you can join us then.

This deserved some response - I hope you had a good turnout, but you were batting against Strictly Come Dancing this evening.  Not quite the same catchment, perhaps.  I couldn't make it.
