A good car mechanic

I would be very grateful if someone out there could recommend a good & honest car mechanic in the area.I feel lately that the big garages have been ripping me off or assume that because I’m a women they can talk to me as if I’m stupid.At the moment it's an electrical problem i'm having.Thanks in advance for any help any one can give me

I have a fantastic mechanic, based in Trussley Road W12 under the railway arches, his name is John, tel no 87480781.  He is a one man band so don't know if he can take on any more work but he has looked after my little old Peugeot for many years.
