Conservative gain of Hammersmith and Fulham predicted

Leading local government expert London Communications have predicted that this borough will change hands at the local elections in May.It is the most marginal borough in London and is one of 6 they think the Tories will win giving London more Conservative Councils than any other kind. They have pledged to give £250 to St. Mungo's Hospital for any predictions they get wrong.http://www.londoncommunications.co.uk

I have just been browsing the results from the last election on the Council web site. According to that the Conservatives got more votes than Labour but ended up with 18 seats as opposed to 28 for Labour. Democracy can be a strange system at times.

The marginal wards are Addison, Avonmore & Brook Green, Ravenscourt Park, Fulham Reach, North End, Fulham Broadway and Sands End.If you live in one of those wards, you will be getting a lot of leaflets and people knocking on your door for the next few weeks.I'm one of the Conservative candidates - and we obviously hope that London Communications are right!
