Bus Lane camera on Wood Lane

A table has been published showing the cameras in London that issue the most fines for Bus lane violations. A camera on Wood Lane issued over 16,000 fines last year - close to a million pounds for the Council. You have been warned!

The problem I have is driving in a bus lane which permits all vehicles between 10 am and 4 pm when another driver suddenly pulls across to turn left because they don't realise the bus lane is only restricted for 6 hours a day. They tend to think they have the moral high ground and that I am driving illegally!

Graham, thanks for the advice but I'm one step ahead of you. I knew there was a camera there because there are signs saying 'Bus Lane Cameras'. Logical really.

I'm going to stick my neck out here but I think he was warning us about the bus lane camera.

Yes, I saw the article in the Evening Standard - the Wood Lane North bus lane was the 3rd highest earner in London.  The article also explained how motorists have problems turning left at some junctions - I must admit I find this a nightmare, especially trying to move over ready to turn if there is a bus/coach/taxi etc in the bus lane.
