Sagar Restaurant

As a committed carnivore I wasn't to impressed when my partner told me she had booked a table at Sagar recently. This South Indian vegetarian restaurant was a really pleasant surprise though. I went for one of the thalis which was a collection of taster dishes. They ranged from fairly bland to absolutely delicious but overall it was a fantastic interesting meal. The bill came as a really pleasant surprise at the end representing incredible vale. Do give it a try even if the idea of vegetarian turns you off.

King Street, just near the Council Offices - opposite Maplins, or thereabouts.  Much more expensive in the evening.  Well - like all the restaurants, really, which is why we always eat and entertain mid-day on the prix fixe.  But then, we are retirees.

Took your advice and entirely agree with what you have written. Friendly and pleasant staff as well who were delighted to explain more about the food. We had a great meal with drink for £15.
