Forum Drinks?

Might be a good idea to have forum drinks at some stage like our neighbours in Chiswick do.

OK now is the time to start getting everyone enthused for the next meet-up!! It really is great to meet your fellow posters; check out the great turn out they had in Chiswick recently (severe hangovers next day)!!

Yes it was a very good evening, but no Ann or Gerry.  Maybe next time.  Will send photos directly as they were not really good enough for forum promulgation.

It was definitely quality, not quantity.  Of people, that is!  Great to see John and meet Bill and my husband joined us too.  It was a good venue, we enjoyed talking about Hammersmith, London, the World.  And hope that there will be more local forum contributors at the next drinks get together.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  Thanks Boys!

You're on the ball Aud!  Only three met up - John K, Caroline, and me.  The evening livened up when Colin (Caroline's other half) turned up  and he and I found close common interests to the exclusion of more germane subjects.  Poor John - and Caroline!Oh! the photographs.  We took a couple but they are not too good as the taker had not had it explained to him to use two pressures, so no flash.  Of course I should have noticed from the preview.  I am checking out Photo Bucket, so any moment now , but in the meantime am emailing trial copy to you.  Sorry - no George Clooneys.

Am I late Hugh???? Just got through cleaning up the kitchen after dinner...  Yep, unfortunately I am still at home. Hope you all have a wonderful time at the drinks get together. Chiswick had a great time, you all should too. The Chiswickians are a camera shy lot; how about Hammersmithians??

Andover Arms good for Wednesday.  6.30 or 8.30 - I'm easy. John and I will be there, so others do try to make it.  Ask Tom at the bar where we are.  Go for it Hammersmith!  Are you in UK, Audrey?

William - can't do the Tuesday, but Wed ok. Suggest one of our traditional pubs -perhaps the Andover Arms. Good thing if we can get them going - I'm sure it will expand if we can get a regular spot in the diary

Me too - just back from 10 days on the Canal du Midi, so lots to talk about to the Francophiles. Which class are you doing, Caroline?  I am starting again this term but cam't remember where I left off last time.Do we have a date yet? I'm OK most any time

The Cross Keys..off St Peter's Square.Give it a whirl..most of the Forums have now had meet ups..and IMHO they don't spoil cyberspace friendships!

Where the Cross Keys?  Is it the one down by the river?  I'll be there, say 6.30?  I think you have to give Hammersmith a bit more advance warning as it is slow to react.

I'm shocked nobody even replied. What's wrong with Hammersmith.Why do we have less pride in where we live? Chiswick would probably have more than 100 replies at this stage. In any case will be at the Cross Keys tomorrow night, if anyone cares to join.
