Has Sir Ian Blair lost touch with reality?

Wonder how many of us out there feel confident to leave our doors unlocked? I'd imagine none of us.

I often wonder what the point of an alarm is as no-one ever does anything if it goes off - except to ring the police if it doesn't stop - like ours did once.It was mentioned somewhere that the police notifications on this site about crime events are rare, if not absent altogether.  If anyone from the police is reading this thread - what about it?

I live just north of the Hammersmith & Fulham border now & I definitely wouldn't leave any of my doors unlocked!  I've just got back from holiday & I always get that heavy feeling knowing we have to check the house & I worry about what we may find.  Luckily, we have never been broken into.My uncle, who lives in Ealing, was broken into about 3 weeks ago.  The Police couldn't find any finger prints.

I live in Wandsworth  John  and I certainly  wouldnt leave even my back door open.
