Advertising hoarding on Seven Stars pub
I've received a note trhough the door from Martin Scrutton (I think....apologies if I've mis-read the signature) pointing out that BPS advertising have installed a billboard on the Seven Stars pub, facing south down Paddenswick Road (towards Ravencourt Park). They didn't bother to get planning permission, and have only now applied for perimssion as LBHF have told them to take it down.I've sent the text below in a letter to LBHF, and would urge you to do the same.RegardsAndrew======Mr Nick FarrellLBHF Development Management Services3rd Floor, Town Hall ExtensionKing StreetLondonW6 9JUOpposition to Planning application 2006/02583.ADVDear Mr FarrellI am writing in opposition to the abovementioned planning application. I understand that a previous application to erect a billboard on this site was made, and rejected, in the mid-1990s. I cannot imagine that the arguments which were used to successfully oppose that application are any less relevant today.BPS Advertising have acted in an unsociable and irresponsible manner in erecting this advertising hoarding and knowingly breaking the planning regulations in a conservation area.I urge the Council to take a strong stand against those that seek to undermine their planning regulations as BPS have done. If their application is allowed, I fear that they and other companies will presume that they can ignore planning regulations and get away with it, or at least, that they can act first and get planning permission later.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Yours Andrew Broadbent
