Poor reviews for Lyric Play

Was consider a night at the Theatre but when I checked the reviews of the play currently at the Lyric - Pool (No Water) they were universally awful. Did you know you can get free tickets for any Lyric opening night if you live in H&F? Just turn up on the Saturday before opening night with identification. Details on the Lyric website. It's a perk given in return for the Council's funding of the theatre.

The Times Online gave this play 4 out of 5 0n 28/9/06 and the review was pretty favourable.

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before seeing Pool (No Water).  I thought it was dire.I've really liked some previous productions by Frantic Assembly, the theatre company involved, but the last few productions of theirs I've seen at the Lyric have not been good.  All their fancy physical theatre stuff doesn't matter if the plays have no plot and the characters are just annoying.
