Interesting figures and suggestions of local websites to detect crime

I have just read the following article on the ealing website.http://www.ealingtoday.co.uk/default.asp?section=info&link=http://nnet-server.com/server/common/eacrim011.htmIt suggests that hounslow higher detectiong could be aided by appeals on the chiswick and brenford sites.What happened to the police reports on this website, they use to be weekly but now nothing. To the police do not respond to this website anymore or do the hosts not contact the police.I have posted on this issue before, surely any reports may aid to detect the criminals.

An amended version of this appeared in the newsletter highlighting how badly the local force was doing in terms of detection of robberies. I think as regards to publicity helping them solve crimes it is a bit of a chicken and egg situation. Most people in the area don't read the local newspaper let alone this web site. Perhaps the readership would increase if they had better information on crime but until then is it a justified use of police time to provide it?

There is one today about the dog-fight.  I cannot understand why dog licences are no longer required.  A hefty licence fee might go some way towards paying for the clearing up of several tons daily of dog fouling in London.
