Chip and PIN - not totally reliable!

I have just checked my bank statement online and was confused about a payment taken from my account on Monday by Asda in Hounslow.  I knew I had not been in the store around that time so checked with my bank who advised me that it was for shopping I had done on 14th November.  On further investigation I found they had already taken this out on 18th November.............so for some reason the store have put the deduction through again.  My bank have raised a dispute but could take 10 weeks to get resolved.  So in future it will be cash payments only!

Apparently I misunderstood, it is "Streamline" rather than streamlining?  Streamline is a company which handles debit/credit card transactions for many businesses. So the problem could have been with Streamline processing the transaction twice.Check you statements................!!

Well spoke to Asda customer services who advised that it was something to do with streamlining on my credit/debit card and the money has just been credited back, which it has.  As it was it did not make me overdrawn but wonder what would of happened if it had.
