Thai restaurants in W6

Since the demise of the excellent Sabai Sabai a while back, I've started yearning for a decent Thai meal.  There are a number of Thai restaurants on King Street and even a couple in Chiswick.Does anyone have any recommendations ?

For a really good Thai lunch try May's cafe in Glenthorne Road. The restaurant is quite small but the food is excellent and really good value. A lunch will normally be £4 to £4-50. They have a fixed menu and a list of Specials that change daily. Service is fast and friendly. I think they're only open during the day Monday to Friday but it would be worth checking with them. Well worth a visit!

Try Yupa's Thai Kitchen (Chiswick High Road) or the Bedlington (deepest darkest Chiswick...)

If you want your Thai to be hot, I would recommend The Churchill, Church St Kensington

Is the 101 restaurant the one that's been opened by the people who owned the Sweet Basil spice shop on King Street?Went to the Andover last Saturday evening and I have to say the food was very bland, so those who like their Thai food with a decent kick of chilli should ask for it to be made like that.  Perhaps they've had a few customers complaining their food is too hot, and are now going a bit too far in the opposite direction.

"There's a place on Studland Street, Hammersmith. Don’t know its name"I’ve just at lunch (Thai red curry - £4.85) at the café in Studland Street, Hammersmith and can now know that it’s actually called the Hammersmith Café. It was very busy and the meal was very nice.

@Thai on Greyhound road is nice.  Good prices and good food, very simple and not greasy.  Thai City is nice on King Street, and friends of mine recommend the other next door (sorry, can't remember the name).There are a couple nice ones in Putney as well, Thalid Thai is excellent.

a bit big and impersonal.On match days a place to avoid - unless you're a big Chelsea supporter. Would always recommend The Andover.

Try the Thai Cafe in the back of Latymers pub at 157 Hammersmith Road.  The phone number is 8741 2507.  If you like steak then try the weeping tiger which is a spicy sliced steak served sizzling on a cast-iron dish.  Yum.

There's a place on Studland Street, Hammersmith. Don’t know its name and it looks like a greasy café. It’s the only café on the street. One of its menus is for the regular breakfast clientele with bacon, eggs, chips, etc. However, it has another Thai menu as well which is really very nice. A good place for lunch and it will cost you around £5. I’ve never been in the evening but understand they’re open for business but don’t have a license - which means you must bring your own drink.The Andover pub in Aldensley Road, Hammersmith has a Thai restaurant service attached. It was featured on a food programme on Radio 4 a while back which gave it a good report. I think it’s good.And, if you’re feeling flush, there’s always the Blue Elephant in Fulham Broadway. It’s a bit of a hike but the décor’s great. Food’s good.

For good quality Thai at a cheap price, why not try the Andover Arms in Brackenbury village. I have always found it excellent
