##  RE-ROUTING OF 272 ..??  ##

just a word of warning that the ever plotting Stamford Brook Assn..is rumoured to be trying to get the popular 272 bus off Emlyn road ..YES I KNOW ... the chairman happens to live there ...if u care or use this service be prepared to fight back as they puttheir usual muscle behind a campaign to influence TFL ...i realise they do a lot of good for the community ,,, butpersonally  i dont think they will win this one ,,, as its a good wellused route around the side roads and even though they managed to banany bus stops or shelters for the elderly in Emlyn... i cant imagine the smart cookies in chiswick will want another bus on the avenue ..if u want the route be prepared to fight for it ... OR LOSE IT ..

The Wendell Park Community Group and the Emlyn Gardens Tenants and Residents Association have run a campaign to keep the 272 running along Larden and Emlyn Roads.  So far 324 people have returned cards supporting the route including 36 people who live in Emlyn and Larden Roads and 37 people who live in Emlyn Gardens.  TFL assure us that the route, which is carrying more passengers than expected since it was introduced 5 years ago, will continue along its present route.    John Grigg.  Wendell Park Community Group

I wrote to TFL a 'we want to keep our 272 bus' letter and received a reply that there are no plans to change the route.
