Rejuvenation of Shepherds Bush Green

Had a look at the plans for the above today, they are on display in the W12 shopping precinct.  I think it looks very good and will make such a difference to the area.However one thing that was missing was a dog exercise area.  I did mention this to the person at the display stands but to me this is something that really should not be omitted. I walk across the green nearly every day during the week and often see the same people walking their dogs (I am guessing they live in the large blocks of flats surrounding the green) and as this is probably the nearest green area they can go do think a dog exercise area is a must.

Surely its an ADDITIONAL area not THE area for when families are shopping etc. Theres plenty of parks and this is London not Chertsey.

There are a number of exercise areas for children and young people but has the Council undertaken an air quality study for Shepherds Bush Green?Given the degree of traffic it must be full of pollution and carbon monoxide. We're talking about a glorified roundabout here. I'm not at all happy about encouraging children especially to use it for vigorous exercise without an all-clear by a reputable air-quality study.

Well I hope they review the decision, dogs need an area to be exercised in and for many people, who live round the green that is the nearest location.

I wondered about the dog zone when I looked th plans, the blurb suggests they expect dog walkers to use plastic bags and bins........not sure the 'hard dog' owners do that!
