Does anyone from LBHF read this forum ?

...'cos if so, please can you get some traffic wardens (or whatever they're called these days) to sort out Askew Road ?  This morning it was worse than ever, practically a single track road with cars and vans parked in front of the shops on both sides.I understand that the shops need to get deliveries, but can't these be done, say, after 10am when the rush is over ?  The private cars have no excuse.

Speaking as an ex-shop-keeper in West 12:  If you saw the list of deliveries that a supplier's van has to do in one day, and the planned route to achieve it, you would see that they have to start very early in order to get round.  30 deliveries is not unusual, and the first drop has to be as early as possible.  There is no answer to it, unfortunately, unless we follow the sensible French system whereby vehicles can only be parked on one side, alternating daily.  Don't hold your breath!

Sophie, I believe King Street is now covered by cctv and anyone filmed parking there will receive a ticket through the post. This does not solve the problem but makes the council an awful lot of money.

If the council stopped harassing your local Emergency Ambulance Station in the Goldhawk and giving the paking tickets and intiadating the crews,at the station and when they are out on emergency calls,the Head of Parking Mr Roger Khanna might instruct his Parking Attendents to do there job to benfit the council taxpayers and not in your name give NHS Emergency Ambulances parking tickets.
