LBHF Primary School Scandal
Am I the only one shocked at the recent news reported by the BBC that due to what appears gross incompetance and poor planning by Hammersmith and Fulham Council we have lost out on our share of £1.75bn of new money for primary schools rebuilding?Apparently the council failed a simple competence test and will not be allowed to receive its share of the money until government inspectors are assured it can be competently spent. As someone who has a child that goes to Addison primary school which is rapidly improving due to an outstanding headmaster I find this very annoying. In addition, whats more frustrasting is while the fabric of some of our school estates are in need of upgrading the money is available but the council has failed to get its act together.Full story reporting here on the BBC:http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/7722119.stm
