Indian Restaurant

Could anyone recommend an Indian restaurant in Hammersmith for my visit next week.Or a website where i can read some reviews of the restaurants in Hammersmith.It shall not be the vegetarian on Kings Street.Cheers Torben from Denmark,who is counting down for my next visit where i am going to enjoy to see FULHAM beat chelsea

The Rajput on Goldhawk Road (almost opposite the end of Brackenbury Rd) is nice and not very expensive.

Indian Zing is probably the best although as Andrew says it is more upmarket and expensive than the others. I think Tandoori Nights is a bit over-rated but I've never actually had a bad meal on any of the restaurants along King Street so if you go there you will probably end up somewhere suitable. Can't say the same for Fulham Palace Road where I heard some horror stories about the places there.

My two cents....Indian Zing is very good but very expensive and portions are not large - you'll need to book well in advance too.Green Chilli (King St, mear Ravenscourt Park) is more expensive than your run-of-the-mill Indian but very good and very civilised (i.e. not full of people who are rounding off 10 pints with a curry)- my personal favourite.Rajput on Goldhawk Road is another good one and less expensive.

Hi there, Le Cinnamon on Shepherds Bush Road (Hammersmith end) is a more upmarket restaurant and has very very good food, likewise Mr India on Beaconsfield Terrace (cheaper) although both lack a little ambiance.  A good all-rounder (nice friendly service and very good food reasonably priced) is the Kathmandu on the corner of Paddenswick and Goldhawk Road (near Seven Stars Corner). There is also another upmarket one Indian Zing on King Street - I haven't been there but have heard very good reports.
