Missing Letters And Packages

Can anyone please inform the forum if they have not recieved postage in the past few weeks. In my case it has been two missing packages that I bought from the internet, they have not arrived a week or so after they were dispatched.Has anyone else or know of anyone who have had letters or packages delievered on time or to the wrong address espicially in the West Kensington area.It may seem silly that I want information about a sitution that occurs everyday in Britain but in my case these were cases which are meant to be Christmas gifts.If anyone else has had this problem please let the forum know so more information can be obtained and if it a area problem or just a one off.

Yes I had a letter go missing recently and because it was a prompt to pay my credit card bill, I was quite annoyed about that!If you go to the Royal Mail website at:http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm... and the link for "Customer Services" on the top-left, you can report problems for your particular postal run and you should get a response.Good Luck !...  John

Hi There,Yes I was expecting a package a few weeks ago and the sorting office at Vencourt Place sent me a card.  However, when I called to collect it they had lost the package and were rather rude and off-hand about it  - totally unapologetic!  I wrote a letter of complaint and received a phone call from one of their managers who simply said that if I had a problem in the future I should ask for a manager to come out and see me.  I suspect however that most times there is no manager on the premises at Vencourt Place which seems to run itself according to its own rules!  On several occasions when I have called there I can hear shouting and swearing coming from the back and the atmosphere is generally very unpleasant.  Has anyone else had similar experiences?

The paper this week has another case of a locally based postman stealing from the mail. He was based in Hammersmith but his round was in Acton. This is not the same case as the one now on the front page of this site but a completely different one. The story is basically the same - the thief was caught before and simply rejoined the post office in a different name and carried on. It is hard not to get the feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I've not had any problems recently but there is a good postman on my round. You are probably the victim of a temporary postman. You could be doing a lot worse - check out the story currently on the front page of this site. The plan is to privatise the post office but to make it profitable they have to cut costs which means the standard of service we get goes down. The attitude of the Royal Mail seems to be totally lacking in any concern for the decline in the service.
