AC/DC re-launches the venue after massive refurbishment

The Carling Apollo Hammersmith reopens this month at almost double capacity. After a massive refurbishment, and with seats removed, the venue's capacity will move up from 3,000 people to well over 5,000. This will make the Apollo in Hammersmith the biggest dedicated live music venue in London.

To celebrate the re-launch, AC/DC will be back to the UK for the first time in two years. The band played at Milton Keynes Bowl in 2001 and the last time they came to Hammersmith was 1980.

Little can be said about AC/DC that isn't already known by virtually everyone. The Aussie outfit will be promoting the release of their new live DVD, out next month. The concert film, No Bull Live/Stiff Upper Lip, features the band performing in Madrid in 1996 and Munich in 2001.

It will be an exclusive concert at an inclusive price: £10. Specifically at the request of the band, a ticketing method has been organised to guarantee that tickets won't go to tickets brokers avoiding added charges.
