Aintree Estate's residents complaint of neglect

Cllr Mike Adam tours neglected Fulham estate

Munster Ward Councillor, Mike Adam, and local Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman, Cllr Greg Hands, are demanding the Council take urgent action to clean up the Aintree Estate in Fulham.

Last week, Cllr Adam was given a personal tour of the Aintree Estate (Friday 10 September) by concerned residents, who are fed up with the Council’s neglect of their estate.

Cllr Adam was shown problems being experienced by residents of the Aintree Estate, including illegal parking, poor paving, fly-tipping, abandoned cars and uncollected grass cuttings.

Commenting on the problems, Cllr Adam said:

“I was absolutely shocked to see just how badly Labour have neglected the Aintree Estate.

“The level of rubbish lying about and general disrepair of the pavements is simply unacceptable.

“Residents are quite right to be up in arms about the state of their homes. They have been badly let down by Labour.”

In addition, Cllr Hands has said:

“Cllr Mike Adam and I are preparing a dossier of urgent action needed and will present this to the Council.

“This is yet another example of Labour’s neglect of Hammersmith & Fulham. They charge the earth in tax, but deliver little in practice. I want to see residents put first, and that means cleaning up estates like Aintree.”
