SIX PEOPLE SOUGHT BY EXTRADITION UNIT

The Metropolitan Police Extradition & International Assistance Unit have appealed for help to trace six fugitives believed may be living in the UK

The unit, which has a national responsibility for tracing and extraditing suspects wanted by foreign law enforcement agencies, believes these six are currently in the UK. The unit wants the public's help to trace them. Anyone with information about any of the people listed bellow is asked to contact the Extradition & International Assistance Unit on 020 7230 3191. Det Insp Nigel Verrill said: "If anyone knows the whereabouts of any of these people or has other information which could help us trace them I would urge them to contact us immediately.
"They are wanted in connection with some very serious offences across the world and may well be living undetected near you."

The wanted list includes:

Dr Ludwig Hulger Pfhals (13/12/42 - 59 years) who in 1990 was Under-secretary of State in the German Federal Ministry of Defence. He is wanted by German police in connection with the sale of 36 tanks from the stocks of the German Armed Forces. It is alleged that 3.8m Deutchmarks was illegally paid to secure the sale.

Lisa Marie Smith (18/11/75 - 26 years), an Australian national is wanted by Thai authorities. She was arrested at Bangkok airport and appeared in court accused of smuggling cannabis and amphetamine tablets out of the country. A bail payment of £75,000 was made to secure her release while the case progressed but she failed to re-appear to face the charges. She is known to travel between the UK, Australia and EIRE. It is possible she may have changed her surname to McGuigan by marriage. She is approx. 5ft 5ins tall.

Mohamed Abdi Guled (29/7/81 - 21 years) is wanted by Canadian authorities in connection with the drug related murder of a man in Toronto in February 2000. The victim was beaten and stabbed in the chest during an argument and subsequently died.
Guled is known to have entered the UK shortly after the murder and has recently been seen in the Deptford and Woolwich areas of London. Guled is black, approx. 5ft 10ins tall and approx. 10st.

Reginald Roy Blythin (27/3/48 - 54 years) is wanted by Danish police in connection with the murder of a man in Hou, Denmark in January this year. The victim, who was found floating in the town's harbour, had been shot and his throat had been cut.
He is thought to be in the UK and has contacts in Chester and Hampshire but also travels extensively throughout Europe, He is thought to keep two small dogs. He is white, approx. 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build with short hair.

Gentian Take (13/9/75 - 27 years) - also known as Arben Gashi (13/8/75 - 27 years) - is wanted in Albania for murder. Take has been convicted in his absence of a murder in a bar in Tirana on 4 April 1999 where two local men were shot, one died of his injuries. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment and is wanted by the country to serve that sentence.
It is known that he arrived in the UK in August of 1999 using his alias. He is known to frequent Essex and North London. He is described as white and 5ft 9ins tall.

Ivor Tom Price DAVIES (29/1/65 - 37 years) - Wanted in Canada for death by dangerous driving whilst under the influence of alcohol. On 23 February 2001 in the Ontario area, DAVIES was driving his car when he lost control of his vehicle which crossed into the oncoming traffic, colliding with another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was killed and his passenger was injured. Davies was also injured and taken to hospital where a blood sample was taken however he returned to the United Kingdom with his partner soon afterwards. Analysis later showed his alcohol level to be over the legal limit. Davies has family links with Kent and the West Country. He is known to have an interest in Pyrenean Mountain Dogs.
He is a white male, 6'00" tall. He is 37 years of age.
