The award winning Rough Puppet Theatre Company and Symphony Orchestra will be presenting Beowulf at the Ginglik on the 18th December. They will be joined by Amazing Grace, member of the Magic Circle junior initiative.

The public is also invited to bring to the show their musical instrument to join the company for a "little tasteful unplugged night music".
The Rough Puppet Theatre Company (and Symphony Orchestra) won last year a special award for their street entertaining at the annual London new years parade.


The company is a collaboration of performers of all ages, including musicians, artists, fire eaters, jugglers, a DJ, an architect... Between them, they have performed in a variety of ways all over the world. Based in West London, they gave their sell-out debut performance at the Riverside Studios in 2002. Since then, they have been invited to Poland and Brazil with their show Beowulf.

Beowulf is an interactive show using light, shadow-puppets, hand-puppets, humour, imagination, food, music and slides to bring to life this Anglo-Saxon tale.

Formed in 1905, the Magic Circle is a prestigious society in the world of magic and illusion. They have an international membership of around 1500, all dedicated to promoting and advancing the art of magic.
