Australia's popular comedian makes his London debut
Australia's most popular comedian makes his London debut with his award winning solo show at the Riverside Studios from 15th – 19th February. In 2003 Carl released his first DVD “Carl Barron Live” which has subsequently gone six times platinum and is currently the highest selling DVD by any Australian stand-up having sold in excess of 90, 000 copies.
Carl is truly an international artiste having performed live and on television in Australia, New York, London, Edinburgh, Montreal, Singapore, Hong Kong and Auckland. TV includes Channel V Foxtel, The Comedy Channel, Amnesty International, Artist Services, Prime TV Comedy Gala, Hey Hey it’s Saturday and The Midday Show. He’s best known in Australia for his many appearances on Channel 9’s hit -The Footy Show - approximately thirty times, more than any other comic. More recently he performed on ROVE LIVE for the tenth time – once again more than any other comic. In the UK he has appeared in World Cup Comedy for BskyB and Live At Jongleurs (UK Gold).
Carl has performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival (twice), the Edinburgh Fringe and the Melbourne & Singapore Comedy Festivals. He has been described as the master of observational humour and his self-deprecating and gentle style enthralls audiences wherever he goes. He is the self-professed love child of Moby and Gandhi.
