THE CATCH FREE!

A Sunday of FREE events at the Lyric to start a magical festival of Children's theatre, followed by an international celebration of all that is surprising and original in theatre, music, dance and multimedia performance.

The festival kicks off with Catch Free, an entire day of free events. The Lyric foyers, terrace and studio will be transformed into a play paradise, with culinary delights for Europe's spiciest street cooks The Primitives, giggles galore with The Popticians, a chance to play dress-up with Sister India's Chutney Queens and to top it off a boogie with the birds in Crow.

Catch Free promises to be the best half term treat in town, a sure fire way to keep all the family entertained.

Toast the taste buds with madcap culinary delights from Europe's spiciest street cooks. Physical comedy with a dash of the unexpected.

Fighting their way out of paper bags and standing up for glasses, a rare appearance by this bespectacled motley crew.

The Catch is an international celebration of all that is most suprising and original in theatre, music, dance and multimedia
for children (and their parents!).

It will be launched on the 23 February at 16.10 with speeches by Councillor David Williams and Artistic Director of the Lyric Neil Bartlett.

Now in its third year The Catch has established itself as a landmark in the calendar of London Theatre.

The Catch runs for two months and offers brilliant fun for children and parents alike. Music, dance, theatre and multimedia performance are all part of the enjoyment with work from both international artists such as the legendary Blue Grassy Knoll form Australia and home grown companies Oily Cart and Little Angel Theatre Marionette.
