109th Cat Championship @ Olympia

The National Cat Club is proud to announce this year’s 109th Championship show. The National Cat Club is famous for being the oldest and the 1st ever Cat show held in the UK. The National Cat Club Championship Show opens from 10.30 - 17.00 on Saturday 10 December, 2005 at Olympia.

The one thing for sure this year, is the National brings its festive feline magic back to the famous venue Olympia in London. So what is there to see at this year’s show? The cats, of course! You will see every variety of breed recognised by the GCCF (The Kennel Club of the cat fancy).

All pedigree exhibits will be competing for the top feline title of The National Cat of the year!
This top title is not just for the pedigree pampered puss, the non-pedigree cats also compete
and exhibitors will be competing for the title of The National Cat of the Year Non-Pedigree!
In addition this year the National extends a warm welcome again to the famous BBC Blue
Peter children’s programme, which will broadcast the show. In addition the National are
delighted to host special Blue Peter classes for all exhibits, and the programme will have the
challenge of deciding who the National Cat Club Blue Peter 2005 Best non-pedigree exhibit
will be!

The competition doesn’t end there! We are pleased this year to announce the final to the
National Crystal Clear Litter Pearls winners pedigree & non-pedigree. Pedigree & nonpedigree
cats have been competing all year for the final award and top prizes of crystal,
rosettes & prize money!

If that isn’t enough to keep you busy at this year’s show, we will extend a warm and friendly
welcome to World Of Cats! The new format means clubs will present each of their breed to
the public in a judging ring. This will allow visitors the chance to learn more about each of
the pedigree breeds, understand what goes into looking after the various breeds and most of
all will give the public hands-on learning to touch and see the cats, outside the normal show
environment. A must do for any feline fan!

Feline shopping should also be on your agenda when you visit this year’s show, there will be
a variety of trade stalls selling every thing your pampered feline could put on their Santa list!
Every thing from posh bedding, top grooming products, the best and latest in kitty litter! And
the latest designer cat accessories to keep the high street fashion icon status!
