Organised by West London Residents Association
West London Residents Association is holding the Second Annual Rally Against the C-Charge Extension.
The meeting, which is being hosted by the West London Residents Association, is to be held at 7pm on Monday 14th March 2005 at Fulham Town Hall.
Last year, the attracted over 400 local residents.
Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman for Hammersmith & Fulham, Cllr Greg Hands, is to address a rally against the proposed extension of the Congestion Charging Zone. Local Conservative GLA Member, Angie Bray, will also speak.
Greg believe that the proposed C-Charge extension would be a disaster for Hammersmith & Fulham, with thousands of extra cars forced onto local roads attempting to avoid paying the soon-to-be £8 a day charge.
Commenting, Greg said: “I am delighted to be able to address this meeting on an issue which is extremely important for Hammersmith & Fulham.
“Being right on the edge of the proposed new zone, our already gridlocked roads will become even more overcrowded. That is not good for our local environment, motorists or buses.
“I would like to particularly thank the West London Residents Association for all of the hard work they have put into organising this meeting and fighting Ken Livingstone’s crazy plans.”
