The Clapham Festival (June 26th to July 4th 2004) features everything from school fjtes to a "Gay Queen of Clapham " beauty contest, from an angling open day to top flight comedy shows and from a charity fun run to highly discounted cinema events.

Reflecting Clapham's vibrant artistic scene, the festival includes exhibitions and art studio open days and music ranging from Japanese Taiko drumming to Mozart.

But the festival is really about a fun days out for the family. Probably the biggest family events are the long established Abbeville Summer Fete (Saturday 26th), London's largest church Fayre at Holy Trinity church Clapham Common (Saturday July 3rd) and the eclectic Clapham Park Festival (Saturday July 3rd) featuring top flight DJs, steel bands and Richard
Blackwood not to mention lots of food and fun.

The festival brings together over 30 events for young and old. The easiest way to get to most events is travel to Clapham Common tube station.

The festival web site carries details of all events and includes map links to let visitors easily find their way around.
