MP didn't show up to switch on the Christmas lights at St John's Church
"Dear Editor,
Last week I attended the Annual ‘Grand Switch On’ of the Fulham Christmas lights at St. John’s Church.
The evening was excellent and I would like to extend my thanks to the organisers. I was however appalled by the failure of our ‘MP’ Iain Coleman to show up, despite being the person advertised to switch on the lights. It left the Reverend in a very embarrassing position and many present were shocked by the clear discourtesy shown by Mr. Coleman for neither making an appearance nor apologising for his absence.
It was noted by all that the Conservative prospective MP, Cllr. Greg Hands, was in attendance and received a warm greeting. It is clear to myself and to many others who cares most about local residents, and we all know where our crosses will be going come election day!
Yours,
Mr. R. M. Royal
