Man Dies After Collision on A4 in Hammersmith

A man has died after a collision on the A4 in Hammersmith involving three cars.
The incident overnight has required the A4 Great West Road to be closed westbound this Friday morning (7 June).
Police were called at approximately 1.40am to reports of a road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the A4 by Hammersmith Flyover.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene and three others, believed to be in their twenties, have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving – all have been taken to hospital as a precaution. There are no reports of any other serious injuries.
The road is closed for investigation work from Talgarth Road to Hogarth Roundabout, Chiswick. Tailbacks are reaching Earls Court, and also eastbound from Hogarth Roundabout.
The westbound carriageway of the A4 remains closed around the scene of the collision. At this stage it is thought that the closure will remain in place for most of the morning.
