Woman Dies After Being Hit By Lorry in Hammersmith


Fatal collision took place on Shepherd's Bush Road

A female pedestrian, believed to be in her seventies, has died after being hit by a lorry in Hammersmith.

The collision took place on Shepherd’s Bush Road shortly before 11.54am on Wednesday, 4 November.

The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and pronounced dead at 2.32pm.

Her next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist police officers.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

The resulting road closure led to substantial traffic delays across west London.

Officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the incident.
