June 1, 2023

June has arrived, the sun is shining and Hammersmith’s hugely popular Summer Festival is back for a 16th year.

Run by Hammersmith BID, the festival will offer a mix of film nights and tennis live from Wimbledon on Lyric Square’s big screen, music, wellbeing activities and more.

Festivities begin on Wednesday 21 June with Make Music Day, an international celebration of music which began in France 40 years ago and has now spread to over 1,000 cities in 120 different countries. In Hammersmith, it will offer the chance to enjoy free singing and music-making in Lyric Square provided by children from local schools.
Livat will be hosting a Swedish style Midsommar celebration on Saturday June 24, with performances from Swedish singer Karianne Kvalen, facepainting with beautiful hand painted floral designs and Karneval Krowns - a chance to create your very own Midsommar crown with IKEA flowers and foliage.
