Join This Year's Hammersmith Summer Street Fest

With music, food and pop-up stalls taking over traffic free town centre

There will be a Pride theme to this year's festival

May 20, 2024

Hammersmith’s summer celebrations begin on Saturday 1 June with the King Street Summer Street Fest, taking over the town centre from 11am through till 7pm.

The Fest will offer over 100 pop-up stalls on a traffic-free King Street, selling arts, crafts, jewellery, vintage, candles, home accessories, cupcakes and much more.

There will also be a food quarter with seating areas, street entertainment, children’s workshops and live music from local musicians including Abba tribute band Abba Stars Dancing Queen.

This year’s Summer Fest is also celebrating PRIDE, kicking off with a free guided walk uncovering some of the LGBT+ histories of Hammersmith as told through the lives and experiences of artists, writers, campaigners, athletes, medics and more.

The Cavalcade of Queer walk begins at 11am outside the Hammersmith & City and Circle Line Station at 11am. Book your place on the walk here.

Hammersmith BID has also produced a self-guided Pride walk which will be handed out during the day and, in partnership with King Street’s Livat shopping centre, will be making a Flower Wall at its stall between 12pm and 5pm.

Fest guests will be able to make a paper flower and add it to the rainbow wall or buy a beautiful flower crown in aid of West London Queer Project, a local non-profit driven by the desire to connect, support and give a voice to local LGBTQ+ people.
