Hammersmith’s 17th Summer Festival swings into action this Monday, 1 July, with the Big Screen returning to Lyric Square to show all the tennis action from Wimbledon.

And that is only the start. Over the next six weeks, the festival  promises a summer of sports including the Paris Olympic Games, plus film nights, football days for children, wellness events and picnics in the square.

From today until 14 July, grab a deckchair in the square to enjoy the very best tennis. The Wimbledon tournament will be screened daily, with high profile matches broadcast live into the evenings.

The Tour de France is also underway, and it will also be screened daily until 21 July .

Free wellness events begin on July 9, with Dance Cardio with FRAME, followed by Feel Good Tuesdays with Lumi Power Yoga on 23 and 30 July, all from 1pm - 1.45pm.

The Big Screen goes Hollywood for Film Nights from 6pm till 9.30pm on July 17, 19 and 25, beginning with last year’s huge summer hit Barbie.

Junior footballers are in for a treat with Football 360 - a day of free, inclusive football activity on Lyric Square, run by Fulham FC Foundation along with Hammersmith BID and Livat. Children will also be able to meet Billy the Badger, the Fulham FC mascot.

As well as deckchairs, Lyric Square has rows of picnic tables and is hosting Picnics in Square from midday till 3pm throughout the Summer Festival.
