Hammersmith schoolboy and band through to live shows

Singer Oritse Williams, 21, from Carnwath Road, Fulham, is through to the live shows on X Factor after storming to victory last Saturday.

The former Larmenier and Sacred Heart schoolboy is a member of boyband JLS, who are one of just 12 acts left in the talent competition.

The band have ditched their brightly coloured outfits for black t-shirts and leather jackets as part of a makeover before facing the public vote this weekend.

The winner of X Factor will bag a £1 million recording contract.

Judge Louis Walsh said he hoped the public would appreciate the JLS sound. He said: "They don't realise how good they are, but will the public get them and hear what we hear in them?"
