Police appeal for help in tracing a gang of eight men
Police are appealing for witnesses and information to a double stabbing, which occurred outside the Hammersmith Palais shortly after midnight.
Police were called to an incident on the Shepherd's Bush Road last night. On arrival at the scene, they discovered a male suffering from a single stab wound to the leg. He was taken to a central London hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A short distance away another man, aged in his thirties, was suffering from a number of stab wounds. He has been taken to a central London hospital. His injuries are believed to be life threatening.
The suspects are described as a group of about eight men, believed to have made off from the scene in separate taxis. Police are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances leading up to the stabbings. CID at Hammersmith are investigating the incident.
Shepherds Bush Road is currently (8.20am) closed from the junction with Broadway up to the junction with Littlebrook Green and is likely to remain so well into the morning while the scene is examined.
