Ski-mask Wearing Thieves Unsuccessful

Empty handed after attempted robbery on Greyhound Road

Two men wearing black ski-masks have made an unsuccessful attempt to rob a woman on Greyhound Road.

The incident occurred at 6.13pm outside Crefield Park. The 36 year old woman was walking along Greyhound Road. As she approached Crefield Park she was approached by 2 males who got out of a blue Ford estate type motor vehicle.

Both males were dressed all in black with black woollen hats with eyeholes cut out pulled down over their faces. One of them demanded her bag but she refused to hand it over. He then showed her a knife he was holding down by his side and told her he would use it if she did not cooperate. She dropped the bag and the man picked it up before looking through it, then throwing it on the floor after deciding there was nothing in the bag of any value.

Both suspects are described as black and aged about 25 years.
