An image of a man being sought in connection with an assault on a pensioner at Hammersmith Bus Station has been released by detectives.

The attack took place at around 1pm on Tuesday, 2 July when the victim, an 85-year-old man, was attempting to board the 220 bus.

He stopped to allow women and children to board the bus first.

A man behind him appeared to take offence at being delayed and began verbally abusing the victim before pushing him out of the way and causing him to fall.

He was taken to hospital he was found to have broken his hip.
